Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis with AL-KO low frame Carthago special (comfort 4.2 t models) or special light (lightweight 3.5 t models) and 198 cm wide wheelbase rear axle.
Standard safety package: cross wind assistant, Hill descent control, ABS, ASR, EBV, ESP, active braking assistant and active alertness assistant.

Roofwall joint
The typical Carthago curved roof is not only an unmistakeable design element, but also makes a decisive contribution to the rigidity of the main cabin, thanks to the frame members on the inside. And all of this without any thermal bridges whatsoever. Another safety plus is the reduced sensitivity to cross wind.
Roof structure
Exterior made from GRP (glass fibre-reinforced plastic) on the outside means protection from hail, while having aluminium on the inside provides protection against lightning. The aluminium interior also acts as heat storage in winter.
Low-level scooter garage
The extremely low-level scooter garage in the fully-integrated C2-tourer means maximum storage space and minimal effort when loading. An extremely strong wall to floor connection due to form-fitted, bonded frame members provides a load-bearing capacity of 350 kg.
Floor panel
Provides all-round protection. The lower and upper sides are made from GRP and between them there is a hard foam insulating core made from RTM Styrofoam. The high-stability floor panel has lifelong protection against humidity and rotting.
Floor to wall connection
Provided at both sides via a high-stability frame member. Similarly to aircraft construction, it is form-fitted and bonded along the entire length. And if the worst comes to the worst, it has side collision protection. An integrated thermal bridge stop reliably prevents any thermal bridges.
Ease of repair
Wherever possible, attention is paid to segmentation during the development of the main body components. In the event of damage, this makes replacement easier and saves money. For example, there is a separately replaceable rear bumper at the rear of every vehicle.

Driver’s cab visibility concept
Vision is safety: you have the road in view sooner in the fully-integrated C2-tourer. The special sitting position while driving, the extra-large upwards and downwards viewing angle, the extra-low windscreen and the dashboard front which slopes steeply forwards provide visual contact with the road surface after just 3.77 metres.
Side wall structure
Aluminium not only on the outside of the wall, but also on the inside of the wall is a prerequisite for efficient heat storage. This creates the feel-good climate typical of Carthago. The even heat radiation acts like a wall heating system.
