Cooking in a Carthago is a matter of choice
At Carthago we like to cater for all types of personal preference. That's why we offer a variety of options when it comes to cooking in our motorhomes.
All our models come with a “Profi Gourmet” three-burner gas hob with one piece glass cover, robust cast iron trivet and glass base as standard and an external barbecue point. This is how most of our owners like to specify their vehicles. Motorhome owners use their mobile homes more in the summer and southern Europe is the most popular destination for our owners where the barbecue is an ideal way to prepare food during the warm weather season.
Inside the motorhome the gas hob is usually enough for the majority of Carthago owners and can be used to produce all kinds of meals from a cooked breakfast, light lunch or hearty evening meal. However, many motorhome owners in the UK (our largest market outside Germany) like to specify an oven inside their holiday homes and we offer a choice of alternatives in every model we produce. The 'Tech Tower' made by Domestic features a tall fridge freezer unit with an eye level gas oven above. This oven can be ordered as an oven or combined oven and grill. Alternatively, we offer the option to order a full-size domestic style Thetford gas oven with grill which is located below the kitchen worktop.
Ordering an oven in your motorhome is a good idea if you are planning to use your motorhome all year round. Something you can do with a Carthago thanks to outstanding heat insulation technology and our unique double floor which offers huge storage potential and acts as a barrier against the cold. The British weather may be famous for its unpredictability, but you can be sure of one thing, inside the kitchen of your Carthago you can create everything from baking a cake to a three-course dinner. We know owners who have prepared Christmas dinner inside their motorhomes!
A variety of kitchens to suit your individual requirements
The 'space-saving galley kitchen' in our c-compactline, c-tourer I 141 LE. I/T 143 LE features six large pullout drawers, three-burner gas hob, integrated sink with flush work top cover and a 133-litre Slimtower fridge-freezer.
'Corner kitchens' available in our c-tourer I/T 148 LE, T 148 LE H models have a larger work surface, designer overhead cupboards and a 153-litre fridge-freezer.
The 'comfort corner kitchen' available in specific c-tourer, chic c-line, chic e-line and chic s-plus derivatives is elegantly curved with a slide-out storage cabinet integrated into the round bathroom wall (depending on model) and spice rack or bottle cabinet (again depending on the model). The 'XL comfort corner kitchen' available on specific chic e-line and s-plus models features a floor-to-ceiling slide our storage cabinet.
Our liner-for-two models have the 'large, curved kitchen' as standard with curved kitchen worktop, Corian draining board, six large pull-outs slide-out storage cabinet integrated into the bathroom wall and an electric central locking system for additional convenience.
