PRESENTATION OF OPTIONS: MERCEDES-BENZ DRIVING ASSISTANCE PACKAGE
For the C1-tourer, C2-tourer, chic c-line and chic e-line series, you have the option of choosing a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as the chassis. The technically innovative basic vehicle impresses with a high level of comfort, low emissions and powerful engines with a displacement of 2.0 litres up to 170 hp (125 kW).
Numerous assistance systems ensure additional safety during the journey. When choosing the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter as your base vehicle, you have the option of adding the Mercedes-Benz driver assistance package to your configuration. This is available in conjunction with the Chassis Plus package. Active Brake Assist and Active Attention Assist are already included in the standard equipment. Today we would like to explain the contents of the Driving Assistance package in more detail.
DISTRONIC active distance assistant:
The DISTRONIC active distance assistant helps you to maintain the distance to the vehicle in front and intervenes accordingly if the distance is not maintained. You set the speed and the desired distance and your Mercedes-Benz chassis supports you when braking and accelerating.
Advantages of the system:
+ Always the same distance to the vehicle in front - adapted to the speed
+ Smooth or rapid acceleration - you can select this in the driving programme
+ the distance is visualised in the display on request
Active Lane Keeping Assist:
Active Lane Keeping Assist monitors the area in front of the vehicle with a multifunction camera. If you leave the lane unintentionally, you are warned by a vibration on the steering wheel and guided back into the lane by a lane-correcting braking intervention.
For the vibration and the lane-correcting braking intervention, the active lane departure warning system must recognise the lane boundary marking and the front wheel must have already travelled over this marking.
Tyre pressure monitoring system:
Sensors inside the tyres monitor the air pressure and air temperature and report to the tyre pressure monitoring system when the air pressure drops. The display then shows which tyre is affected.
